Making good better
EventCalendar was originally a simple WordPress 1 plugin by “Kitten” who released it as GPL. Alex Tingle took it and heavily edited it, changed it to use WordPress’ (then) new hooks, and released it as EventCalendar2.
EventCalendar3 is a complete rewrite by Alex Tingle. It uses none of Kitten’s original code. The original work on the new EventCalendar was partially sponsored by Stephen Hinton.
The plugging was abandoned in 2008 which did not stop users to continue to use it. Since then we have done several upgrades on the plugin adding new features and keeping it up to date with the latest WordPress versions.
The plugin is free and so is our work on it.
